Spring Break Recap and Everything Else..

So I wish I was still in Cali with nice warm weather :), but no I'm stuck in the snow..


Saturday morning Mom and Dad picked up Jess and I and we drove down to SLC to hang out until we flew out. Mom and I went to the Scrapbook Expo in Sandy. I try to go with Mom every year because we always have a blast :) I love spending quality time with her. Jess and Dad just messed around town while we were scrap shopping. It was finally time to fly out to Cali. The flight wasnt even full so the Flight Attendant said we could sit anywhere, Jess and I made sure there was an empty seat between us so we could lay our legs out :)

The flight wasnt bad at all, Jess and I just watched short TV series that was showing on the airplane. When we reached Cali we were headed down the escalator and standing at the bottom was Aaron, Nate and Grandma. Jess and I saw all of them and started waiting, but they didnt even see us until cousin Nate started waiting. Grandma still didnt see us until we were almost right in front of her. She was staring at some other girls going down the stairs ha haa :). Cousin Nate made a sign for sissy and I and Grandma had some random guy take a picture of all of us when we got there.

Sunday night Aunt Barbie cooked the BEST meal ever!! I got the recipe from her because it was so delicious. I told mom to make it sometime soon :) So I'll share with everyone because i enjoyed it very much. We had steak with it, but you can use it on anything Aunt Barbie said.

• 1/2 tsp garlic powder


• 2 tsp dry mustard
  
• 2 tbsp oil


• 2 tbsp brown sugar


• 2/3 cup soy sauce


• 4 tbsp water


• 1 tsp ginger

Marinate meat for up to 24 hours. Good on pork and beef roast, chicken, pork chops and ribs.


At dinner Nanny and Uncle Darell came over. It was nice to visit with them and see them. Jess and I havent seen them since Hawaii trip in 2006.
Aaron and Nate took Jess and I shopping at the Galleria Mall on Sunday before dinner and bowling. Wow!! that mall is huge :) I'm pretty sure Jess was drooling haa jk.

Sunday night Jess and I went bowling with cousin Aaron and some of his friends. They are very nice. We didnt get a picture with everyone because we were so busy bowling, but Jess and I did get a picture of our attractive shoes. :) Aaron beat Jess and I both in bowling, but he used to be on a league so we said it didnt count. ha ha but we all had fun that is all that matters.

Monday we went shopping with Grandma and wore her out ha ha. Then Tuesday all of us cousins went and got pictures taken with Grandma. She said we look just like her :) We sat on the couch display so I could get a picture and share with mom and dad when we got back home.
The rest of Tuesday we went shopping with Aunt Barbie and Grandma at a few more malls outside of Charmichael.
Wednesday day Jess, Aunt Barbie and I went to Grandma's and layed by the pool to finally catch some sun :) It was so nice to have sun again. I wish we still had some here. Wednesday night we went to watch Aaron's 8th grade girls basketball team that he coaches. They won the first game in the playoffs and had the next game Thursday night.
Thursday Jess and I flew out and we were so sad that we were leaving our cousins and the warm weather. Grandma called us Friday rubbed it in our face that it was high 80s and said we need to come back. Guess Jess and I picked the wrong weekend to go to there.
When mom and dad picked us up from the airport we went out to dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory.. Oh my goodness!! It was so delicious. You get so much to eat with your meal. Mom and I got the Chicken Parmesan and Dad and Sissy got Spaghetti with huge meatballs. We also got a salad or soup, a drink, huge loafs of bread, and ice cream included in our meal!! The ice cream was definitely my favorite part :)

Friday and Saturday Jess and I hung out with mom and did some more shopping. The Unique Boutique craft fair is open so we went there and ran some other errands with mom. Saturday Jess went and saw Kate and baby Krew. She said he is just adorable :)






Saturday night Jess and I took a little road trip to Rexburg so I could see Angela and Erica and Jess could see Missy. It was so good to see everyone, Jacoby is such a cutie and i loved holding him ha i didnt want to give him back to Missy. After hanging out for a little bit Jess, Miss, Ang and I met at the Cocoa Bean Cafe, holy cow this place rocks :) We all enjoyed eating our cupcakes.

Saturday night my good friend Whitney Fowler texted me and she is ENGAGED!!! She sounds so so happy. It was nice to see her when she was here for Jay Dee's Farewell a month ago. Congratulations Whit and Trent :)

:) Ooh I'm gettting so excited!! Jess and I fly out tomorrow to California to spend time with our cousins. We cant wait! We will be there for a little less than a week. We are going SHOPPING and spending time in the sun :)

The weather is sunny and super warm there, Aunt Barbie said it was 77 there yesterday.. Hello Summer :) We have some exciting things planned out to do with everyone while we are there. I'm so excited to see my two favorite cousins :) When i get back I'll post what we did. Can't wait, Cali here we come. Whoo hoo

Jess had her interview for the Education Program yesterday. She was extremely nervous, but we all knew she would do great! Everyone just loved her and her great enthusiasum and she found out today that she is officially in her program!!

Oh YAH.. Adventure #1

Nan and me also went on a little adventure last night after dinner.. had to run to Walmart to get something for nan and mascara for me and while we were in the line checking out I found
these skittles that my taste buds just love!! Skittles CRAZY CORES!! They rock and taste delicious, so.. next time you
are at Walmart you have to grab some. I put some in Jay's basket for districts last month and that is when i fell in love with these :)) ha ha

the blue raspberry and lemon is definitely my favorite followed by strawberry watermelon!

also while we were on our adventure we ran over the the mall real fast to look for a purse for nanny and i was going to grab another refill for my wall flower at Bath and Body works!! I just love that store and when they have the flowers on sale i love the store even more!! Thanks to Bonnie and Gary for the gift card and making my room smell wonderful!! I'm not sure if this is a new scent or not but it is AMAZING!! Pineapple Orchid :) definitely a necessity so you should go grab..

To end the adventure we went to Coldstone and picked up the new cupcakes they are adverting, Thanks Miss and Steph for sharing about them.. they are absolutely tasty! I can't wait to eat the rest we bought. We came back to our place and ate them and enjoyed SPICE WORLD.. ha ha ended the night old school :)

She's a BIG GIRL NOW :))

Nan's birthday!! We celebrated my roommates birthday on Sunday. I decorated the house while she was gone :) We had a little girls night with cake, it was delicious.

I took her to the DMV today to get her new licence. She is a BIG GIRL NOW :)

Our little trip was an adventure!! First we got to the courthouse and there is three buildings so we werent sure what one to go into, so we finally asked.. When we opened the door to the correct building there was a security sensor just like the airport that you had to walk into. The lady came onto the speaker and told Nan to walk through and set her purse on the counter and open it up. Asked us if we had weapons inside we both kind of looked at eachother with a wierd look and answered no. After Nan went through it was my turn. After we got through we just both laughed at eachother because we were suprised what you have to go through to get a renewal :). We had fun on our little adventure today even though it took ages to finally get the card..

Finally..

Midterms are finally over for Jess and I. This week was so stressful studying for all of our tests each of us had to take and the papers i had due. Dad and Mom are headed to Boise over the weekend to watch some basketball. Nothing else really new going on. Hope everyone is doing well :)
